The Cambridge School Room 204/5
I said room 204/5's new central air was especially well done, right down to replacing the thermostat wiring , and even the cement pads the unit sits on. Having the dual-thermostats and automatic damper system added is also a big plus. New ductwork and ceiling grilles, another plus. New 4 ton "Carrier" central air for RM 204/5, installation is especially well done. I also complimented him on the screening of his personnel. Each one is personable, a real worker, no slackers and knowledgeable.
New ceiling grilles upstairs result in improved distribution/circulation of air. New air return/filter grilles and refurbished ductwork, complete the job.
ADVANTAGES: 1. These new A/Cs will not only increase our "comfort zone," but will do the work much more efficiently. The A/Cs are not only a "one-time" gift to the school but will "keep on" giving by reflecting in reduced, future electric bills. 2. These A/Cs are all top-of-the-line brands, no off- brands or generics. This will result in improved reliability and durability. 3. Most of these new units have steel, protective loubres over the refrigerant coils for physical protection. The older "york" units did not have this, so fins got smashed frequently, greatly reducing air flow, increasing run time. P. S. Let's don't forget, the Simpson family also donated and installed two complete central air systems in the Nursery (Idlewild) House, that we have not even turned on yet.
